Two or Three column themes are all the rage at the moment, a big chunk (if not all) WordPress theme designers tend to release themes that have 2 or 3 column, however there are themes out there that are so simple and barebone with only 1 column, of course the idea behind a 1 column theme is to give more focus to a blog’s content, or maybe even use it for a photoblog.
Here’s a list of clutter free 1 column themes:
SweetHeart
Sweetheart is a theme for all you sweethearts, without being overly sweet. A single column displays your content front and center, but worry not, there is a sidebar — you just need to create the page for it (there is a special ’sidebar-page’ template included).
Sweetheart is WordPress widget friendly, which means you can manage your sidebar from your WordPress admin panel. If the plugin isn’t installed or enabled, the theme will use the default sidebar. Of course, if you don’t creat the sidebar page, this becomes moot.

Olive Green is a 1 column Wordpress theme. Lightweight theme for personal use.

Foliage Mod is a dark theme compared to most other 1 column theme who prefer to go with white as their main color.

The Hobbit
The Hobbit is an elegant theme by Kaushal Sheth, i’m guessing the inspiration came from the Lord Of The Rings movie, in any case with some minor tweaking this theme would be perfect for a photoblog or personal diary type blog.

Summer Breeze is a one column Wordpress theme. Its lightweight , simple and colourfu almost as if its feel like summer. Ideal design for bloggers who have a lot of content, another cool theme by Kaushal Sheth.

This is one of the earliest 1 column theme around, i can remember seeing it a from a couple of years back, the design still stands the test of time in my opinion.
