I had the opportunity to catch Gone Baby Gone recently, a movie that was directed by debutant Ben Affleck and i must say it is one of the better movie that i’ve seen, i’ve not been this excited about a movie since Transformers last summer.
Synopsis:
Based on the novel by MYSTIC RIVER author Dennis Lehane, GONE BABY GONE marks the directorial debut of actor Ben Affleck. Featuring a solid cast that includes Ed Harris, Morgan Freeman, and Affleck’s brother Casey in the lead role as a private detective, GONE BABY GONE centers on the disappearance of a young girl in the working class neighborhood of Dorchester in South Boston. With plenty of twists and turns, the movie works as a solid crime thriller, but it’s as a study of a place–and one’s ability to either accept and embrace or ultimately break free from it–that the film flowers.
The best thing is that i didn’t have any pre-conceive ideas about this movie as i didn’t watch the trailer, i just dived straight into it as a recomendation from my good friend and i wasn’t dissapointed, i must admit that at the beginning the film seem a little slow paced but believe me it’s worth watching till the end, i don’t want to give anything away so if you have the opportunity, go ahead and watch the movie.
To get a better idea of the movie i suggest you visit Rotten Tomatoes.
